Painting holidays

Our relaxed informal painting weekends run by our tutors take place in the warm summer months of June, July and September, which means guests get to paint and sketch 'en plein-air' as much as possible.

Our 2010 weekend painting courses are now fully booked, but we still have availability for 2011:

Our easy going, hassle free holidays are run by a number of well known artists, Sonia Hawes, Bee Morrison, Diane King, Sue Ford, Lionel Playford and Joanne Boon Thomas.

All our resident artists are very experienced, successful tutors with an individual painting style and teaching method. They all run tutorial groups, courses and holidays in the UK, Spain, Corsica, Greece and Malta, they know what makes a good painting holiday!

Our tutors all bring something special to their courses, whilst encouraging and nuturing their student in a fun, friendly, easy going atmosphere, perfect for a enjoyable and instructive weekend away. 

Our painting weekends run from Thursday to Monday, and you will enjoy 3-4 full days on the mountain with only a few days off work or away from the family!

• THURSDAY - our private minibus transfers you to the chalet, and after dinner Bee gives a quick briefing on the schedule for the weekend.
• FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY - after breakfast, it's off to the painting site/s in the minibus, with a packed lunch to enjoy onsite. In the afternoon it's back to the chalet for a cup of tea, a further tutorial and home-cooked evening meal with wine.
• MONDAY - is a free day which can be enjoyed painting, or making the most of La Clusaz, before returning to the airport for your flight home!

Take a look at our 2010 itinerary will provide an idea of where we go, but as always everyone is free to dip in and out of the programme to suit their mood. 

Weekends include 3 days private tuition from one of our artists in residence, x3 days off-site sketching/painting (with private chauffeured transport), accommodation at Chalet Fan La Bise, private airport transfers to/from Geneva, x4 breakfasts, x4 evening meals with wine, x3 packed lunches.

Non-painting sharing partners/friends can take advantage of a £60pp reduction off the above prices. Special group rates are also available
